About Sign PDF
Sign a PDF by drawing your signature with a mouse, finger or pen, typing your name or using a photo of your signature on paper. Then drag it into place, resize it and add it to as many pages as you need. It is handy for rental agreements, permission slips, invoices and forms that just need your signature. This adds a visual signature, not a qualified e-signature. Everything runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
How to use Sign PDF
- Add a PDF.
- Draw, type or photograph your signature, then move and resize it on the page and press Add to this page. Repeat for other pages.
- Press Sign PDF and download the result.
When it helps
- Sign a rental agreement and send it back without printing it.
- Sign a school permission slip from your phone.
- Add your signature to an invoice, delivery note or timesheet.
- Put your signature on every page of a document that asks for it on each page.
Tips
- Choose navy, black or blue ink to match how you usually sign on paper.
- For a photo signature, sign with a dark pen on plain white paper in good light.
- Use the arrow keys to nudge the signature into place, and hold Shift to move it faster.
Frequently asked questions
- Is this a legally valid electronic signature?
- This adds a visual signature. It is not a qualified electronic signature (e.g. eIDAS). If a document needs an advanced or qualified e-signature, use a certified signing service.
- Is my signature saved or uploaded anywhere?
- No. Your signature exists only in this page while you use it. It is not uploaded, not saved in your browser and is gone when you close or reload the page.
- Can I use a photo of my signature on paper?
- Yes. Sign on white paper, take a photo and choose it in the Photo tab. The background is removed automatically; move the slider if the lines look too thin or the paper shows through.
- Can I sign a PDF on my phone?
- Yes. The page works in a mobile browser: draw your signature with a finger, then drag it to the right place. Nothing is installed or uploaded.
- Can I sign more than one page?
- Yes. Place the signature on a page and press Add to this page, then go to another page and repeat. All placements are added when you press Sign PDF.
- Can I type my signature instead of drawing it?
- Yes. Type your name in the Type tab and choose a handwriting or plain style. This also works well if you use a keyboard instead of a mouse.
