About Crop PDF
Crop PDF pages to trim wide white margins or cut a page down to the area you need. Set the top, right, bottom and left margins in millimetres and watch the preview as you go, on all pages or only selected ones. It helps with scans that have dark edges, slides with empty borders and documents you want to read more easily on a phone. Cropping runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.
How to use Crop PDF
- Add a PDF.
- Set the margins to cut off.
- Press Crop and download the result.
When it helps
- Remove the dark borders a scanner or phone camera left around the pages.
- Trim wide white margins so the text looks larger on a phone or e-reader.
- Cut a page down to a single table or figure you want to share.
- Crop only the pages of a scan whose margins differ from the rest.
Tips
- Tick Same on all sides when you want an even border all round.
- Enter ranges such as 1-3, 5 to crop only some pages, or leave the field empty for all pages.
- Cropping hides content but does not delete it, so use Redact PDF for anything sensitive.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the cropped content deleted?
- The hidden area is cut from view in every PDF reader, but the original content stays inside the file. To remove sensitive content, use our Redact PDF tool.
- Can I crop only some pages?
- Yes. Enter page ranges such as 1-3, 5.
- How do I remove white margins from a PDF?
- Add the file, increase the margin values while watching the preview until the white border is gone, and press Crop. You can apply it to all pages or only some.
- Can I crop a PDF on my phone?
- Yes. The tool runs in a mobile browser, and the preview shows the area that will be kept before you press Crop.
- Which unit are the margins in?
- Margins are set in millimetres and measured inward from each edge of the page.
